COMPANY NEWS
Opening Remarks
This early winter, the outdoor sports field at Baosangyuan echoed with enthusiastic cheers, applause, and shouts. The joy and excitement of the 2023 Christmas Fun Sports Event filled every corner of the venue. Colleagues beamed with pride and enthusiasm, eager to showcase their skills and work efficiently with their teams to complete each task.
In this year's Christmas Fun Sports Event, nearly all employees from the Guangdong region of ActionAIR Logistics participated. We divided the staff into six competing teams, with over 100 employees participating. The competition included four major events: "Working Together," "Painting the Blueprint," "Dragon Rides the Wind, Tiger Leaps," and "Climbing the Summit." Throughout each event, the teams demonstrated unity and determination. The competition was not just a test of intelligence and physical strength but also a perfect showcase of teamwork and collaboration.
Breaking the Ice
The ice-breaking session was an essential part of the event. Participants engaged in team stretching exercises and warm-ups to build rapport. The "Pooling Funds" activity quickly immersed everyone into the environment, showcasing their quick thinking, professional skills, agile movements, and bright smiles. Did this stir up your happy cells?
After the coach's humorous and clever groupings, we saw participants in six brightly colored uniforms: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and gray. Each team appointed a captain and prepared to compete. The team names reflected local spirit and energy: “Grand Vision,” “On Time Takeoff,” “Tigers Descending the Mountain,” “Eagle Spreads Wings,” “Soaring High,” and “March Forward.” After a lively introduction from the captains, the first round of intense competition began. The event used a points system, with one team each awarded first, second, and third prizes based on their scores.
Team Mobilization
Game 1: Working Together
Teams were divided into two groups, facing each other. On the referee's signal, members had to hold onto a rope and move through a designated route as quickly as possible. They then handed the "caterpillar" back to their teammates and returned to the starting point. Teams with the shortest completion times ranked higher. Motivational slogans like “One-two-one, one-two-one, let’s walk together” and “Look forward, charge ahead, first place is always in our hearts” encouraged participants to push forward. Although some struggled to keep pace, the task was ultimately completed with plenty of laughter from spectators.
Game 2: Painting the Blueprint
The Nasca Giant Painting required the entire team to complete. Each group worked on their designated part of the company's cultural vision using paint, brushes, and other materials. This activity fostered proactive communication among team members, demonstrated effective communication channels, and highlighted the importance of resource sharing and different leadership styles. It also promoted market expansion awareness and product innovation concepts.
Game 3: Dragon Rides the Wind, Tiger Leaps
Participants began at the starting line and, upon the referee's signal, navigated through obstacles like “Hurdles,” “Leap Over Dragon Gate,” “Time Tunnel,” and “Balance Beam” before returning to the start to slap hands and pass the relay. This was the most intense event, requiring close teamwork to navigate the obstacles. Despite varying fitness levels, participants displayed impressive agility and determination.
Game 4: Climbing the Summit
The competition featured a race up an inflatable rock-climbing wall, with teams of 10 preparing at the starting point, equipped with safety harnesses. As the race began, participants climbed from the base to the top of the wall, where they had to ring a bell to stop the timer. The individual times were recorded, and once all team members had finished, the race was over.
If you thought our skills were limited to the ground, you were mistaken. Every participant from ActionAIR Logistics proved to be a climbing expert, moving swiftly by gripping the handles. While reaching halfway earned 5 points, everyone seemed determined to achieve the full 10 points. Even those who had a fear of heights dared to step up, encouraged and supported by their teammates, reaching new heights.
Closing Ceremony
After the games, the company hosted a festive birthday dinner to reward everyone's efforts. The evening included singing birthday songs and making wishes for those celebrating in December. The company's leaders surprised everyone with additional cash prize drawings. The vibrant atmosphere made for an unforgettable and joyous night!
This Christmas Fun Sports Event enhanced team cohesion, increased employee engagement, and fostered interdepartmental communication. It provided a platform for showcasing talent, building friendships, and honing determination. From start to finish, every participant's dedication and teamwork made the event a memorable success.
ActionAIR Logistics looks forward to aiming for higher goals with the same spirit in the coming year’s new journey!
